This general terms and conditions apply to laws of the German Federal Law subject to the provisions here mentioned. Should the case be that one of the terms are not valid for whatever reason, all other terms stay unaffected.

2. Duties of U-Tour
U-Tour hands you over a roadworthy and technical intact, unobjectionable vehicle. The vehicle is insured according to the general terms of law and the legal liability (Motor vehicle third party liability insurance (50.000.000€)).

3. Duties of hirer & Lease Price
The hirer has to book the vehicle legally binding in written form by fax. The lease price is based upon the agreed price in the contract and respectively from the price list. All costs in connection with the use of the vehicle are to be paid by the hirer. These costs are gasoline, oil and all other charges like speeding fines or parking fines. At Pickup the hirer has to deposit 350,00€ as security which will be eturned at the end of the lease period. If the lease period exceeds 4 days the half of the lease price for this period is to be paid in advanced or has to be on our account by that day. If the hirer has no fix abode in Germany the deposit has to be as high as the personal liability of the comprehensive cover. The hirer is obliged to return the vehicle at the agreed place. If the hirer is in delay for more than one hour for return, he will be charged for one more day amounting to the current lease day price. The hirer has to pay the agreed amount if the bus is turned over to the leaser again. The deposit of 350,00€ and the prepayment will be absorbed in favour the hirer. The Security of 350,00€ will be used in case of any damage to the vehicle, to its interior or its technical installations(see nr. 5 and 8). The hirer has to return the vehicle in the condition he hired it. Vehicle has to be clean at return otherwise Tourbusse.de will have to charge the hirer with additional 30,00€ excl. VAT.

4. Cancellation of orders
A Cancellation has to be done in written form and has to be in 4 weeks before agreed rental period begins. If cancellation is made within 4 weeks, the hirer has to pay 2/3 of the agreed lease price. If cancellation occurs earlier than 21 days only an administrative charge of 50,00€ will be charged. The hirer is not in liberty to provide evidence of less damage which occurred to the leaser by a cancellation.

5. Authorized Drivers
Vehicle and key will be turned over only to persons with a minimum age of 23 or over with a valid driver’s license. Only persons mentioned in the lease contract are allowed to drive the vehicle. Drivers mentioned in the contract are assignees of the hirer also if drivers are negotiated by Tourbusse.de.

6. Prohibited Use
The hirer may not use the vehicle:
a) to participate in any motor sports or similar competitive events
b) to transport flammable, poisonous or other dangerous materials
c) to tow other vehicles
d) to commit any customs or other criminal offences
e) the vehicle may not be sublet to third parties not listed in the rental agreement or listed as stipulated drivers
f) the vehicle may not be used to teach others to drive
g) the vehicle may not be used for any purpose other than general vehicle rental purpose
h) the built-in bed must not be used at any time while the vehicle is being driven

U-Tour may cancel the contract without notice if the vehicle is used clearly in breach of the contract terms, or under such circumstances that a continued rental agreement becomes unacceptable. The non-clarification of substantial damage caused to the vehicle is included in this category. If the hirer exceeds the mileage allowance calculated at the time of rental agreement substantially (above 800 km), this must be reported to Tourbusse.de immediately and additional increase the deposit paid. If no report and adjustment are made, the rental agreement may be cancelled with immediate effect. In the event of infringement of any of the above rulings, no warning of cancellation of agreement is necessary. This is also the case if there is a difference in opinion between hirer and leaser about causation of damages made to the vehicle during this hiring period. The vehicle must be returned to the Tourbusse.de immediately.

7. Care and attention to the vehicle and its technical equipment
The hirer is bound by contract to take care of the vehicle and check oil, water, pressure of the wheels and keep the vehicle in safe custody against theft. All technical devices like, HI-FI, DVD-Player, TFT TV, Monitors, X-Box etc. has to be taken care of. The hirer has to comply with the rules and read the instruction manual for every technical device in the vehicle. Car documents, Radio device, key have to be taken out of the vehicle if left alone. If the hirer neglects this whole point (7.) the hirer will be charged for all damages or thefts occurred during lease period.

8. Repairs during the rental period
Repairs to the vehicle may only be made after notification to and approval granted by U-Turn. U-Tour will reimburse such repair costs on presentation of receipts only and exclusively such cases where the repair is not caused by the hirer. If the vehicle cannot be driven any further, or if additional damage may be expected, U-Tour must be contacted without delay - also at weekends and at any time. Telephone 0049-160-6875062. All repairs have to be commissioned at a VW authorised repair shop. In this case the hirer is obliged to use the Service-Card which is provided with the vehicle. The only contact person apart from U-Turn in case of breakdowns is VW 24h Service.

9. Terms and action in case of an accident
The hirer is bound by contract to notify the police and U-Turn (0049-160-6875062) immediately in case of an accident. Failure to observe this requirement, carries a fine in breach of contract equivalent to the value of damage caused to any third person (up to EUR 500,00). After reporting the accident to the Tourbusse.de, the hirer is required to report the location, witnesses, license Plates of other vehicles, phone numbers, names, cause and damage incurred in writing as soon as possible. Failure to observe this requirement carries a fine in breach of contract equivalent to the value of the damage caused to any third party (up to EUR 500,00). Additionally to that, the hirer is obliged to pay EUR 200,00 administrative charge in case of an accident if the accident was caused by the hirer. U-Tour and the police have to be also informed immediately in case of an accident or damage caused by game (animals), fire or theft. Reversing manoeuvers are only covered by the insurance policy when there is someone positioned outside the car directing the operation. If the hirer fails to comply with this restriction the hirer will be fully liable for all damage to their own car, all other cars and third party property.

10. Insurance
a) The vehicle is automatically insured with third party cover as required by German law
b) Both third party as well fully comprehensive insurance are available. In the event of third party cover the hirer is responsible for the first 350,00 EUR of any claim as personal excess liability. A responsibility of 1.000,00 EUR as personal excess liability is made on fully comprehensive insurance cover.

The hirer is completely responsible and liable for any damage due to
a) intent or negligence
b) alcohol or drug abuse
c) non-permitted use (point 5)
d) hit and run
e) insufficiently secure storage of goods during loading or transportation
f) Reversing manoeuvres without someone positioned outside the car directing the reversing operation
